Guest SEB
Rockwood has to be one of the worst girls teams in high school I have ever seen. I cannot figure it out. I have watched them twice now and they try so hard but come up short. Is it fundamentals, talent, coaching, what is it? Hasn't the middle school been good in the past couple of years also? So one would assume that the high school would be gaining some athletes
ball411
They beat Oakdale!
goosevol
Rockwood is simply rebuilding. Other than Jenny Cox, they have no juniors or seniors to speak of. Sophomore Katie Kirkham along with freshmen Julie Kirkham and Shae Springs are the future along with a good middle school team this year. They'll have it rough this year and next, but two years from now they'll be competitive again. Remember two years ago the Tiger boys weren't that good, but they had a bunch of freshmen and sophomores. Those kids are juniors and seniors now and they've got a shot to make it to Murfreesboro. CosbyEagle
The Rockwood girls did seem very young and inexperienced during the game at Cosby. When Cosby attacked with the press they had a hard time even making the 1st pass. It seems like they have some athletic girls but they had a hard time getting any kind of flow on offense. Lots of turnovers, many unforced. But if they are mostly sophs and juniors they could have a good team later if they work hard. Go Eagles...!!! jacketsfan13
Rockwood has had a good middle school team the past two years and this year, but those athletes are only freshmen and sophomores. The class coming up will help next year, but it will still be about 2 years before they are competitive again. Look for the tigers to be at the top again then because there are some excellent athletes coming up along with the Kirkham girls and Springs. Every school has to rebuild, don't get down on them. bionomics
Kingston will become even better over the next few years. There are six freshman on this team that will be the core of the team as Juniors and Seniors. Three of these girls have the potential to be some of the best to ever come through Kingston, especially if they have good coaching. The only girls team in this area that has the potential to be the better team in two years is Harriman.
BBALLTN
Bionomics you better rethink that what about OS,but then of course you think like Gary K.Only kidding your right there is a good group coming at Kingston and their pretty darn good now... bionomics
T, It goes without saying that OS is always going to be a tough team every year.
jacketsfan13
Kingston does have a good freshman class, but O.S. has a good class too. Rockwood will be competitive with these teams in two years if the talent develops, that goes for all three school. Rockwood has a very good group of eighth graders, probably the best in the county if you go by head to head results, but it is hard to predict how the talent will develop, who will stick with basketball, coaching etc.
