Brandon Cook and the Ellison twins from ND..all 3 lead te area in steals...and Cook is the best one on one defender in state in my opinion

Temple Playes great team defense. Their best defender is Ryan Wadley. That kid can play some great 'D". Just ask the kids who play against him.

Dylan Lynch of Father Ryan plays the best defense in the state. He plays harder than anyone, and its obvious if you watch one of his games.

Bartlett is one of the best defensive teams in the state...as always. Brandon Allen may be the best defensive sophomore in the state...he's 6-3 and he can guard ANYBODY. He's guarded a future NBA PF/C in Jackie Butler and did a good job on him, and he's guarded some good perimeter players (Justin Flatt last year) and done well against them.

Anthony Hopkins for David Lipscomb is their best defender. He doesn't block shots, but he will get into you make you go where he wants you to go.

Great defense? You only need to know two things. 1) The only good defense is "team defense", and 2) Father Ryan is the gold standard when it comes to defense.

 

Dylan Lynch sets the tone for all out hustle but it's guys like deGrauw who draw charges and do the hard work that produce wins.

I think one of the more underrated defenders is Konrad Waliszewski from Centennial. I know their coach preaches team defense but this kid examplifies defense. He's taken the most charges and his defensive stance is nearly perfect. He's guarded some of the most athletic players in the state and contained em.

The boys from Columbia Central. Eric Howard from Giles can be put in in with them he was taught by McBee also. In AAU

they showed this and it has continued into their play now.
