Coach T needs to update Dobyns Bennett's schedule. No games are listed for this week, we have 2 games before the Greeneville / Davey Crockett / Science Hill stretch of next week.

For the record:

Tue 01/14/03 - D-B vs Sullivan South @ home

Friday 01/17/03 - D-B vs Daniel Boone @ Boone

Keep it rolling Tribe - Doing great and getting better all the time.

Volunteer will get more respect, once they beat up on Eliz and Sullivan Central. This is a very dangerous team. They have the best White Big Man that has been in East Tn since Granville Arnold played at Sullivan North. And like G. Arnold, Chucky Mullins is becoming a Super Star in his Soph season. Triple Double last game out.

Go Falcons.

I saw the comment on wanting to beat Elizabethton more than anything. That statement is not true. Volunteer's biggest rivalry is against Cherokee. But even more than that, our goals go way past wanting to beat any one team. Those goals are too shallow. I believe I know who this is, and if I'm right, then you know me and my direction of thinking as far as goals are concerned. We look at our schedule one game at a time. We haven't even discussed Elizabethton. Our focus is Johnson County right now. On Wednesday our focus will shift towards Betsy, but that is only one game. We have the mentality that if we beat Elizabethton and get ousted during tourney time, it will be a bad season. Goals of wanting to beat a particular team more than anything are for teams that don't expect to go far when it's tourney time. Again, GOOD LUCK to all teams!!!!!

As a Volunteer fan I appreciate your confidence in Volunteer but I will have to say that Elizabethton is no small task. They are strong at all five positions. Their only weakness is depth. Starters vs. starters they may have the best team in Northeast Tennessee. By that I do not intend any slight to Science Hill, Dobyns-Bennett, Greeneville or anyone else. Basketball is a team game and depth can be a major factor in who has the best team. Science Hill and D-B both have great depth.

No offense but Chucky's last name is Lindholm.

Not to hurt any Betsy fellings, but.....

If Vince Redd does not play against Volunteer on Friday.... NO WAY ELIZABETHTON WINS!!! PERIOD. I watched Eliz. scrimmage D-B just before the season started, with Big Vince setting on the Bench.... and they did not look good at all without him. Heck, they just lost to a so-so Clinton team at Betsy with Vince out, so, forget about it.

Now, if Vince plays, it will be a toss up, 50-50. I would like to see that game.

Go Falcons. Go Chuckie!!
