Two names come to mind from middle Tennessee, and they are Spike Mcdaniel and Alex Watson. Mcdaniel is a very bruising fullback/tailback, and Watson, the 2001 Blue Cross Bowl Defensive MVP at MLB, though he has been moved to D-end he is still a force to deal with. Another name to be watching for is Jean-Paul Gadie, he is very aggresive MLB, and on top of that very fast.

It's never a mistake to play the best player. Rouse deserves a shot at the starting QB position. He was head and shoulders better in the fall than the other quarterbacks. The offense was at a whole different level when he was behind center.

 

Maryville is neck deep in skill position talent. This upcoming junior class is as good a group as Maryville has ever had, maybe the best by their senior year. The question mark for this year is the Line.

Joe Despaux (Qb/Ss 6'0 185, Will be 3 yr. starter,4.5 in the 40)

 

Adam Medlock (Db/Rb/Ret. 5'11 175 starter a LB, true SS. AP All-State HM. 4.5 40)

 

Austin Hillian (K/P kick 2 game winners, two straight years with-out missed extra point, good range 50's, has avg. close to 40 yds per punt last 2 years)

i dont know about you, but alex rouse has improved on his rehab and got released last week. He was remarkably gotten almost all of his speed back and his arm is as strong as ever. watch out for him this coming season. In my eyes and of manys others that know the game alex rouse is one of the best athletes in the state, and will get his shot and show everyone how good he is......
