CCS and Temple are both great teams and either team could win. It is to my understanding that Temple will have a bit of an advantage but any team can win on any given night. Each team has 2 main guys and the rest play around them so it should be interesting to see this game, should be a great game.

Well, first off I think that Temple has a better team this year. But, during Holwerdas Senior year, two years ago, CCS had a much better team and Temple still took them into overtime. When these two teams play, there can be no prediction. Because I've watched these two teams battle it out over the last several years and every year it is a great game. No matter who has who, and how much better one team is than the other, this matchup always guarentees a great game. So for my prediction, well I think it is very possible that CCS could win. I guess it will just come down to who wants it more and who will rise the occassion.

I am no fan of CCS and I was glad to see Boyd beat them the other night. However, CCS, if my sources are correct, hates Temple, and this has all the makings of an upset! Temple has won a few in a row and they are ready to get beat. THEY think they can win easily, but CCS will pull the upset. And then Boyd will make it two loses in a row for Temple on Thursday.

Temple will come down with this victory although if it is at CCS then it will be within 8 if it is at Temple I say Temple wins by 15 or more. CCS is a hard place to play especially when it is a big game like this and it'll be crowded. Should be a great one.

Upset??? CCS has been the dominant team in this matchup forever. Last year when Temple won state, CCS led most of the game and let it slip. Until recently, CCS and LV led the region and the old district 4-a, with Boyd and Temple obvious third and fourth teams. With Tyner in the mix now and Sale Creek getting better, this has got to be the toughest region in A ball.

hey jumparound,

How long have you been watching these teams. In the last 4 years CCS and Temple have beaten each other 4 times a piece. That means in the last 4 years these two teams have met 8 times and are tied. Plus dont forget when Temple beat CCS for homecoming two years in a row in the '96-'97 and the '97-'98 seasons. Granted, CCS won the region in '98 off Phil Jacob's last second shot, but I would hardly call that domination.

Where are all the CCS talkers now??? In case anyone missed it, CCS jumped out and led 24-6 early in the second quarter. But that didn't last for long as Mr. Jake Skogen lit up CCS for 18.....in the second quarter!!!!! Which by the way was more than Mr. Cook scored all game (12). Nobody can stop him??? Wadley's too short???? Please know what you're talking about before you post messages on here. Skogen finished with 30 and Temple won 69-60. Wadley had 19 points and 6 assists (and that's with a broken thumb, thank you very much!!)

    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
