I was so close on the game, but wasn't exactly sure of all the details, swamp. I spent too much time talking to everyone. I started to come and say hey, but...I wasn't 100% sure if you were the guy sitting about 4-5 rows up behind the Scott High bench?? I have never been afraid to make a fool out of myself before, but....I hate being wrong!!

BUT...

 

...since we're playing the "what if" game...

 

...suppose Kingston gets the sweep

...suppose OS gets the split, but OS loses ...

 

those would be interesting scenarios, wouldn't they? Why isn't anyone suggesting that might happen?

21-7 4th quarter. 40-35 at end of 3. 43-37 @ 6:05. Pugh hit 1/2 f/t to tie game at 44 @ 3:06. Kingston hit 11/12 f/t after that, Scott 1/2 and hit a shot after the rebound.

 

I still think Kingston loses somewhere beside OS... I'm with Matt.

Scott High almost gave the Lady Cats a chance for the outright, but....Trailing 40-31, Kingston came back to outgun the homestanding Lady Highlanders 25-7 over the final 5 or so minutes of the contest to win 56-47.

Why isn't anyone suggesting that might happen?

Looks like someone just did.

 

Ollietown would have to lose a game at home, and I just don't see that happening. At least not with the new lucky gym floor and the new lucky home unis.

 

But seriously, that wouldn't be as big a negative for Oliver Springs as it would be a positive for Kingston. Kingston would benefit from a first-round bye and automatically gain entry into the regional series. OS would have an extra game, but with the confidence of their home court as an advantage.

 

What team would OS likely face if they were forced to play an opening round game? Would it be that "interesting scenario" team that they theoretically lost to at home during the regular season?

Actually, either would have to drop to 3rd to lose their 1st-rd bye.

 

Bracket will look like this:

1 bye

4 vs 5

3 vs 6

2 bye

Boy, do I feel silly... I didn't realize that OS had already played 7 district games (Kingston has only played 4)... I don't see OS losing to AC or Scott, so it makes that Feb 4 game even more important!
