Just to play devil's advocate, how many interceptions did E James (or any other Indy back) throw this year? I like the Colts, and I think Manning is pretty good, but he does force the ball way too often.

This is the KICKER talking crap about the QB, how stupid can you get. Manning is a good QB he just doesn't have a running game right now. When Edgerrin fully recovers Peyton will be one of the top 3 QB's once again. That KICKER deserves a swirly. lol :)

I too think that Manning is a pretty good QB, but I kind of the think the kicker(it pains me to say this) might be right. Whenever Manning has had a true big game he has never delivered at least since he started college. Examples: In college all the Florida games. This year he couldn't get his team a win against the Titans and then the playoff blowout. Even without a running game they should have been able to beat the Titans anyone who watched the game vs. the Raiders saw that. Maybe one day he will get over the hump, but I just don't think he will.He is the modern day version of Warren Moon. Everyone likes him, his team is always decent, but they never do that well when it is the most important times of the year.

Just to update Swamps' original post, Vanderjagt also got onto Dungy's case as well as Manning. There is an article in todays Tennessean Sports page( also available on the website), where Vanderjagt is apologizing to Manning, Dungy, all Colts, city of Indy, etc.

He had also said Dungy was too laid back, and not a motivator.

My opinion, what he said was true. So much for free speech!

You guys all have good points, but Manning doesn't have the recievers Oakland has. He did have the best one in the league this year but Oakland has two of the best ever and a running game just in case they need it. You're right he hasn't won the big game yet and I guess that's what everybody will say until he does. And the KICKER appologized for his comments. If he makes the FG against a Dolphins in the 2001 playoffs Peyton wins a big game.

Manning busted back at the Pro Bowl. They're saying it's V's kiss of death. I can see it now, though, V goes to a different team and plays in SB 38 while Manning plays catch with a nun.

Could be, but if I were Indy, I'd cool it. Kickers of this

accuracy are hard to come by. Take him out behind the

woodshed , get him back on track, hide his bottle, and move

on. Same thing happened with Randy Moss, badmouthing

everybody, etc. He's still there catching balls.

On the other hand, if it turns out to be a major

distraction, then they may have to cut him loose.

There are a lot of teams that would be glad to get him,

including my Cowboys.

Maybe they're going thru "silly season" like NASCAR.LOL

;)

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
