panfan
here is a question: For years, everyone has known that the best wrestling overall is in chattanooga. Outside, Ryan, Nashville really has no team with tradition -- maybe overton. Memphis, well Memphis and Knoxville duke it out for the worst city every year. But this year 3 of the 4 dual team finalists were out of Chatt. Is this the first time that has happened? Or, have they ever had 4 of the 4 in the finals? State Duals is pretty new. I am curious as to the Chattanooga domination in this new thing.
takedown3
Great point. Permanently move the dual to McKenzie Arena. No other part of the state can touch the area for fan enthusiasm. This year's final would have drawn 7,000 to 8,000. Had Baylor won, maybe 9K. Chattanooga wrestling started in the '40's and the tradition continues. Guest SHJ
McCallie may have won today...however, Father Ryan 2nd, MBA 3rd, Baylor not placing does not seem to me to be a Chattanooga Dynasty. Looks to me like the Midstate did better overall!!!
Guest SHJ
I have a better solution...move the Team State Duals to Chattanooga and move the Individuals to Nashville!!!
takedown3
Both will and do considerably outdraw Nashville when held in Chattanooga.
