Hutchins leaves Jeff County for McMinn County

Is he the one "they wanted" or did he get it by default?(Rumors were all but 2 had withdrawn from consideration!)

Almost 30 were said to have applied. 9 were interviewed and it was narrowed down to 4. Two of the 4 pulled out due to $$$$$. McMinn does not pay what is should. They are way behind, from what i have heard.

People in athens are hearing good things about him. Hope he does well

He has been the offensive coordinator at Jeff County for a while. Jeff County has lost a lot for a while. Meadows brought new hope. Hutchins brought offensive woes. Word is Jeff County said "Don't hit your behind on the way out".

hutchins has never had the opportunity to show his stuff, saving for last year when the patriots made it to the qtrs. kisabeth, the head coach prior to meadows, made things really tough on the assissant coaches--it was his way or the highway. he was never wrong. in the 80s, kisabeth was blessed with talent galore, which allowed him to bring home a state championship in 87 (they had 7 all-staters on that team). however, the truth is jeff.co. should have won 3-4 championships in that era. having said that, hutchins was a descent qb in 88-89, but with kisabeth's style of play kept hutchins at bay, hutchins never got the chance to reach his potential. he did o.k. at carson newman. he has one thing going for him, "the love of the game." when he came on board at jeff in 98 things were in a uproar, talent very was thin and nobody wanted to play for kisabeth--numbers were reaching an all time low. to make matters worse, only a select few would put any effort into the off-season program. this is why jeff finished the next 4 years at no better than 3-7. needless to say, the administration at jeff said "kisabeth you got to go, now." they could not allow kisabeth to spoil to very, very talented 8th, 9th, and 10th graders that still have a love for the game. in short, only time will tell how well hutchins will do as a head coach.

Who else is going to McMinn Co. with Hutchins from Jeff Co.? I have heard that Meadows wants 3 to go with Hutchins.

probably, crigger(freshman coach), wilhite (db coach), and cox(offense & line coach). these are all young and need to venture outside their hometown.

Where did you hear who was leaving with Hutchins? As far as I know none of those mentioned are going to McMinn.

If those 3 go Who will run his defense? Wilhite? Or is there a coach at McMinn Co. that will run the defense. I fiqured he would take some people off of Jeff's defensive staff from what i have heard no body likes Chait anyway.

inside info. think about it, cox has little knowledge of the wing-t and the precision it requires of the guards. with the talent jeff has at the skill positions, they have a good shot at winning the 5a title. as for wilhite, he doesn't know enough about teaching fundamental skills in the man-to-man coverage, particularly in teaching the fs his important role in reading the qb. in short, he has to go. as for crigger, you really have to question his love for game. he is not a motivator, so he needs to stick to teaching science or math.
