How will the Lunsford guy at Cloudland play?

I was wandering how the Lunsford kid at Cloudland would be elegible next season. When we played Cloudland in 2001 the program listed him as a junior. That means last year he would have been a senior, thus ending his elgibility. Is their some kind of medical hardship the TSSAA grants if an athelete gets hurt before the season? I have never heard of anything like that but just curious how he will be elegible to play next season.

Jeff is repeating 12th grade this year. He missed too many days because he was in the hospital. Carter County Schools is very strict about attendance, even if it is injury related.

From what my son says, he is going to play this fall. Let us all wish him the very best.

The rest of us who have sons and daughters playing high school sports can count our blessings that they are healthy and uninjured.

He would have been the best lineman last year, so he should play very well this year. And yes he has been cleared by the the TSSAA, It;s a hardship rule.

We pray that we never have to take advantage of this rule, but it is a good option to have in case of situations like this. We wish this young man and his team the best.
