you are correct about 14-AA, they are absolutely loaded and you can see why i say that. Ripley has a very outstanding team with very good athletes who can literally shoot the lites out of the gym. they are very aggresive on defense also. would be no suprise to see them in the substate. as for the loss, its all good, may be the best loss we ever had. glad that we wont be the # 1 team in the state when the rankings come back out next week.

congrats to the ripley tigers on an outstanding game played!

This is not making excuses or anything because Ripley is capable of beating anybody, but Dyer County was without the services of their third leading scorer in Antonio Mitchell, and Dustin Byrd did not play either. Antonio has the flu and Dustin was not at school. They may or may not have been the difference. We will see in a week.

dc was without 2 players who contribute greatly to the team. one was a starter, the other the 6th man. we did however get beat, no one is making excuses, just telling the truth. ripley is a very outstanding team.

wescharge, the district tournament for 14-AA will be at brighton high school. i think their tournaments start almost a week behind ours in 13-AA.

Fayette-Ware and Haywood are the two best night in night out. Ripley has the most potential and can beat anybody but has tendencies not to show up. I am sure not having Mitchell hurt DC but Byrd doesn't matter. Why didn't Montrell take over? When you have key people out, your best should step up.

You cannot make posts like this one and not expect people to think that you are making excuses! If you were not making excuses why say that we were missing 2 players. That in and alone sounds like an excuse for losing the game. The fact is that DC is a very good team, but not as dominant as last year. They can probably win their district tourney by just showing up, but when the regional comes around they had better bring their "A" game every night or there will be a lot of DC fans that will be hammered by people on this board.

    • Perhaps it is within the realm of possibility that the comprehension of my discourse, both by yourself and others, may be circumscribed by the boundaries of intellectual acumen. Might one contemplate this notion from such a perspective? Allow me to clarify that my intent does not lean towards disparagement, save for instances where provocation is directed towards myself or the esteemed troupe of the Trousdale County Yellow Jackets who proudly find domicile upon the hallowed grounds of CREEKBANK. In contemplation of the candidates under discussion, it is conjectured that individuals such as Gregory, Woodmore, Vetetoe, Eden, Hackett, and Cothron may emerge as contenders. Regrettably, it is deemed improbable that Shoulders shall express interest in this pursuit. Speculation arises regarding the potential candidacy of BJ West, albeit the implications of familial ties with Lafayette introduce complexities to such a scenario. The enigma of Dr. Clint's deliberations looms large, fraught with the weight of a formidable decision yet to be made.
    • My kind sir, you seem to be lost within the time space continuum having traveled from the 16th Century or you aspire to hide your true intelligence by masking your language with that of the great playwright. You know good and well, your commentary takes your fellow comrades hours to decipher what you are really saying and most of them are likely left questioning whether you have insulted them or find them to be in your favor. I offer you some advice. In my travels through this area of the country, it is best to speak slow and with a twang and you don't annunciate  words to their fullest. Your points will be clear then!  Any names been mentioned around town as Actual Applicants to this job? Seen several post mentioning individuals, but I haven't heard of any of them except for Shoulders. Does he have ties to TC?  Have amy of the other names mentioned ever been in the HC position before?
    • They’re building something special there. They have 4 Varsity games scheduled & 5 JV. They are trying for a 5th Varsity game. Beat them now because they will be good in the future. They are building a football field there I think but the rich pricks of Farragut won’t let them get lights so they are possibly looking at property to build a stadium & field with lights
