I really don't know. I guess we're just lucky to have an A and a B. I'll see ya on The Mesa coach. I may go down early and see what things look like. I'll call ya after I sleep in a bit, bout 9:30ish.

I don't know what u call A and B team but it is just the freshman sophomore team--- the team not including varsity players are the ones who r playin...i think jv is suppose to be there at 2

Volunteer sports lost a very good friend on Thursday in James "Skip" Evans. The baseball team was not as aware of Skip as the basketball team. Skip helped sponsor and run youth tournaments for the benefit of Volunteer athletics and always helped with the basketball team's Christmas tournament. Skip had been sick for a long time.

 

I first became acquainted with Skip when I played Babe Ruth baseball for Carter's Valley and Skip and Fred Gray coach Liberty Hill (now Mount Carmel). Then I played for him on the all-star team. He was one of a kind to say the least. Sometimes he could be brutally honest but that is why when he told you something about your ability, good or bad, you could beleive it. Skip was a character.

Someone put in a score for the Unicoi County game. It was postponed. I would like to beat them 10-0 but we have not done it yet. Be careful when putting in scores and make sure you are accurate. I wrote to coacht and told him about the problem. He will correct it.
