I'd really like to see someone beat Temple this year, but it is just not going to happen. Temple lost one player, point guard, last year and they have replaced the position with a talented underclassman. Back-to-back MVP for Skogen. It's pathetic that he is picked to go low D-III. I think the college level recruiting stinks!

Jake Skogen signed with Division I Mercer University in Macon, the winners of the Atlantic Sun Conference 23-6 overall record.

I am not sure why his size would be a problem, most teams would like to have a 6'5" two guard which is what he was recruited to play.

As to football. We are not stupid. We know it will take time to build a program and we are aware that we will take our lumps on the way. But the way we see it, is that the only way to lose is to not try, so we will give it our best.

As to recruiting: I am not speaking about other private schools because I don't know, but Temple does not in any way, shape or form recruit. And if we did, we are horrible at it! Our kids come from big families of a lot of boys, not from recruiting.

yeah 141, I took up for you guys on the recruiting thing becuase I got to Nashville Christian and we get that alot. Most of our boys have been playing together since the 7th grade a few have came in here and there over the last few years and since we had a winning season people said that we must just be recruiting now, what we did was recruit a coach. As for Skogens size i was refering to his weight and stregth, He does blow by people to the basket and hit 3's in peoples eye but the game i seen the other night he got ripped quit a few times. If a 6'6 250lb strong guy gave him an elbow he would probably be out of the game. But dont get me wrong, I'm not talking bad about him, he is a really good player and has a serious shot, but he is a little under weight.

Maybe you all should stick to riding 4wheelers instead of complaining about a very small Christian school on the border of Georgia and Tennessee...or did you forget where Chattanooga is...Rossville isn't Atlanta...you bring back memories of a recent Presidential election.

Well Skogen left CCS after his 8th grade year and I'd be shocked if a great family like the Skogen's gave in to some kind of recruiting deal. It's not like he left some podunk school to go to a McCallie or something. Another thing, I believe 4 of Temple's 5 starters are sons of the coaches. Along with 1 more on the bench. If there was recruiting involved they need to up the ante or something because they don't have 5 all-state players.

    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
