Best Fields to play on

Lookout Valley has one of the nicest in east tennessee. The facilitys are very nice and have not seen any that are better.

Oakland High School has the best playing surface infield and outfield for an on campus field. The storms early Monday did a lot of damage to the facilty.

Mt. Juliet has the best field by far, especially when dry.

I think that it is so funny that this same topic comes up about 4 or 5 times a year and everytime it does no one ever mentions Loretto. Yeah, there might be a couple of people that may mention but that isn't as many mentions that it deserves. Everyone that reads this can ask any former or current player that plays in district 9AA and they all will say that Loretto's field is by far the best. I was lucky enough to get to play on it for four years.

Farragut has a great field

the only problems i have with Farragut's field is the small slope behind third base and how short the fence is. It makes it hard for visiting outfielders to know how long they can run back without smashing into that metal fence. Other than that its a beautiful field. most of us would say that the warning track lets visiting outfielders know how far back they can run before running into the wall.

hawk- games dont start for a while so yeah this is all we have to talk about.

 

CBHS did win national field of the year...but it was because of a picture taken from a mile high. If you get down to the playing surface its not very good, the outfield has a slope to it, the infield had lips all over the cutouts and the dirt was awful. They have a very solid team though with a good group of seniors this year.

Besides Ooltewah having a great field Soddy has one as well. Ooltewah doesn't have a good looking field right now but once the grass turns green it will be one great field to get dirty in!

When Creek Wood gets their dugouts and cage complete it will certainly be one of the best facilities in the state. The playing surface is unreal, almost like playing on a soft turf. Coach Clapper, Mr. Heath and staff do a great job taking care of the grass. Hopefully by next year the pressbox, bullpens and concessions will be done and it will be one of the primetime parks in TN. Very deep park also. PEACE-OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly coachrop. I play on the field and have played on many fields, but I havent played on a field as nice as CW. Have played on Mt. Juliet and they have a nice field but to me CW has the better field. Not facilities but field.
