WHAT ARE THE BEST RIVALIES IN TN?

Most of these teams are in East TN.

Oneida,Coalfield are single 1s schools out in the county these 2 back some years ago would play for the regional championship everytime they played. It has not been as big in the past 5 years.

 

Wartburg n Coalfield is a great game to watch if your gonna want to see a good game this year. Both teams have loaded skill players mostly all seniors. This is be a Huge game this year as it has been sense Ive been alive.

This is sort of off subject but Oneida and Wartburg scrimmage Tues. The 12th i believe. The yare both rivlas of Coalfield.

Used to Lincoln County and Franklin County were big rivals... everybody who was somebody in either county went to that game...

My wife's from Lincoln County. She lives in Coalfield. Now she goes to the Coalfield v. Wartburg rivalry. See what a small world it is?

Coalfield is located in Morgan County, outside Oliver Springs and West of Oak Ridge. Has 200+- in high school. Last approximately 17 years been to the Play Offs 16 times in 1a ball. Been to the play offs more than the other three High schools in Morgan County combined. Head Coach Garry Kreis, former UT All American tight end. Oh, yeah, Oliver Springs is also a rival, just don't play football much any more. At any rate Coalfield is a pretty good secret.

Shelbyville vs Tullahoma is a big rival. people from Shelbyville doesn't like to lose to Tullahoma at anything and vica versa.

Claiborne vs Cumberland Gap which used to be Powell Valley is a good rivalry
