The greatest rivalry in not only football but sports in general is McCallie/Baylor. The day of the McCallie Baylor game in Chattanooga there is extreme excitment in the air. The first football game was in 1908 with McCallie and Baylor with a tie. The overall record between the two is baylor with a 36 to 27 edge over McCallie. The McCallie fans have a caravan led by police to Baylor when it is played at Baylor. There are so many people that for fear of danger the schools agreed to have the game played at the 20,000 seat Finley Stadium. These teams have nothing but pure hate for eachother. The week before there is even more excitement between fans than on gameday. Players have had their houses rolled, driveways painted, and properties damaged over this game. Kids go otu at night to do whatever they can to show their spirit towards the school. this rivalry is pure hatred and it is truly an intense experience. Without a doubt the greatest rivalry in high school football is that McCallie Baylor game. October 18 Finley Stadium, Chattanooga. Be there if you want to see a truly emotionally charged game.
