I've never seen him play, but I read Tom Lemmings first list for 2004 Rb's and he's not on it. This must be a deep class this year, because Joe Casey of Paducha KY is only at #10 on this list, and I've seen tape of him several times. He is probably the scarriest looking back I've seen in high school in quite some time. 210lbs and blazing fast, I hope some Tennessean's will get a chance to see him play this year. He's special.

Is Barber good enough to be on this list of the top 25 backs in the country?

Tom Lemming can have and make any list he wants to, but Tom Lemming also said that a guy by the name of Ray Lewis wouldnt make it past high school. It just goes to show that these critics are making simple PREDICTIONS. Levonte is an exceptional athlete that plays three sports. I know for a fact that Several D-1 schools are eyeing him.(Texas, Tennessee, South Carolina, Auburn, and Alabama just to name a few.) His work ethic and attitude on and off the field make him a coaches dream to coach. Barring injury, He can only get better and better.

I didn't post that in doubting him. I only used it as a reference for some of the top backs this year. Just because he isn't on that list, literally means nothing. Its just a list, like you said. Of those twenty five kids on the list, maybe 3 of them will pan out in college. I was just curious of Barber is that type of calliber back.

    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
    • Lieutenant Flip flops is on a roll. #1 recruiter in Anderson Co, fo-sho.
    • Has there been any effort to contact college coaches other than Trevecca?
    • 5star put out and article about the QB competition for Clinton like they have 9 other schools. They listed a QB that was previously on Powell’s roster last year. He was the Frosh that could throw great wearing number 5. He was not mentioned as a transfer.  HC was quoted in getting two running back transfers one being from OR that has been mentioned on these boards as well as another from TKA.  I had heard about these and more transfers. It is impressive that Clinton is able to steal away from the recruiter at Powell.  I wonder if the issue with the principal will change that or open the gates even more.
