skndvr80
Where does Coack Kirk get all his pitching knowledge, well let's just say he has been doing this for more years than most of us are old, present company not quite included, and during that time he has seen a lot of great pitchers come through his program. The truth of the matter is that by the time these gals get to the high school level, they are already accomplished pitchers and he mostly coaches and refines. Take my daughter for example, she has been pitching since she was 9, she started by taking lessons from Jill Seltzer, later on she took from Lamar Lasley but probably her greatest improvement came from a weekend with Ernie Parker, she also received some lessons from Beth Keylon. But the real accolades go to the ladies themselves, once the proper mechanics are learned, its pretty much a matter of dedication and lots and lots of time in the backyard working on refining their skills. If you don't believe it just stand in the box against a kid who can take your buttons off of your shirt from 40 ft. with a 60mph or faster screwball. youwilneverno
How does a "GURU" get to be a "GURU"? Good question. Let me know when you get the answer.
tjd
Soddy Daisy had an outstanding state tournament team effort. The school and entire community should be very proud.
skndvr80
When you said "team" effort, you were NOT kidding! DHs, pinch runners, position players, pitchers, the girls on "the bench" cheering them on, ALL contributed in a TEAM victory for Soddy Daisy. PS: we had a pretty good cheering section, too! Thanks to our guys and the Baylor Champs that stopped by after their win to help cheer us on. and parents, too. Thanks! and Congrats to all. And Congrats to Cumberland Co. who had a great year and were worthy opponents!
