I though Bobby Bratton of Columbia was a senior this year. Whats the deal there? Am I wrong or is that just a misprint? Also, no diss to Beech or anything but how did Stephen May make it on this team? He's a good pitcher and all but he doesnt compare to guys like Bratton(if he's a junior), Justin Pickett, Alex Watson and the guy from Farragut. I dont really understand that one.

Bratton is a 16 yr. old junior (Class of 2004). He turns 17 around the first of August.

Stephen May was chosen because we needed pitching and he has good enough stuff. The problem with the Sunbelt is that coaches do not encourage their players to attend and summer league coaches put pressure on players not to attend. This is a big honor for our players and we need to do a better job as high school coaches encouraging our players to attend. I don't think you can compare May to Bratton or any other player on the roster. The roster has to be filled with the beat available players that are willing to go. Several big name players have turned down this invitation for the last two years.

Thats a good enough reason on why May was on the team for me. He's a good pitcher dont get me wrong, he beat us. Bratton is good to but I see your point in him not being much better than May.
