why the inactivity?

C'mon guys and girls-- Running needs a little more support than this. Cheerleading's not even a real sport...... XC is so much tougher, and we can't even talk about how we are doing? What about a little bit of trash talk (not too much so CoachT don't get mad) but what's goin on here? Last year, people were all over this board....... I want SOMETHING to happen........PLEASE

I know what you mean- all the inactivity could be a good thing though.

maybe it means there is more summer training going on and less time to talk! I can't wait for the first race of the season and the LAST! Go BCHS!

Peacemaker, have you guys got your schedule of meets yet? The only date that I don't know where our varsity will be is October 9, and we hope to host a league meet this year on that date.

I haven't seen a schedule thus far, but I will ask- I am curious to know! A league meet sounds interesting- do you have a good place for it? R U Going to the Fireball Classic tommorrow evening? If you are- we will C you there.

Is cheerleading effected by the dead period? Someone asked me that on another board? I know all gyms are supposed to be locked up, so where do you practice?

Yeah, I'll be at Fireball. My son is going. I just have to stay away from all of our runners, but I guess I can talk to Bradley's runners. hehehe

 

If we get the course that I want, on a local golf course, it should be great. It is very spectator friendly. Two loops of 1.5 miles each. Spectators can jog about 200 yards in either direction and see virtually the entire race. I'm just praying we can get the course. If not, I'm still scouting around for another one.

 

ELA, I'd say cheerleaders are affected. I suppose they could go cheer at any local park, or for that matter, one of the cheerleaders homes. They could stand on the side of the road and cheer for our runners who are practicing on their own.

well there isn't much to talk about in XC... its not like you have scrimmages and stuff like other sports. All there really is to talk about is a stragety to win and your pratice. Once the season comes around, there will be more to talk about.
