mckenzie is not going 2 be sorry they my have lost mathis big deal but they have other people that can take his spot and the tight end they lost was not that great any way and they still have people that can catch the ball and if they cant pass they will kill in the run with campbell and cook

It's "can't spell very WELL"

As for McKenzie, they have performed quite well over the past two seasons. The 2002 squad lost 18 players to graduation the previous year.........and they still reached the semi-finals.

I'll take Drew Hayes and his sophmore slump over dang near any quarterback in the state. Mckenzie, Milan, and Huntingdon will be the teams to beat this season.

PsychoRebel so the tightend was not that good. U know i find that very funny considering the fact that while i was at the all-region banquet u were sitting at home. Or while i was playing both ways u were sittin on the sideline watching. But anyways as for the '03 rebels they will be the most prepared team in west TN coach comer always has the team ready to play obviously the team will only do as good as there front line takes them. Games are won and lost in the trenches on both sides of the ball and that was the key to our success last year and it will be the key to success this year. Work hard this summer boys it will all payoff in the end.

McKenzie is a very well-coached team, there's no doubt about that. I do think they happened to get hot at the right time last year - not to take anything away from their post-season run, because that's when you're supposed to get hot - but as far as talent goes, I think there were more than a few 2A schools more talented than the Rebs. What that says to me is 1) how well coached they are, and 2) how much heart those guys have. I don't think replacing Mathis is going to be as easy as some seem to think, though.

They'll be a solid team again this year, competing for the 6-2A title. I have to give the edge to Huntingdon, but McKenzie will be right there going into week 10.

    • Hope the catcher on baseball team come back out and play's football . He didn't play last year if I remember but I don't remember much after that wreck anyways.. But he did play his freshman and soph years and I thought was a very good player. He's put on some size now, so I'm hoping he's thinking about playing again..
    • Pirates are young this year.  Gordy can sleep on them.
    • They’ll get it worked out eventually.Farragut is too good of a program to be down for long. As an OR fan, I can’t really say I’m too distraught about it though.
    • I didn’t even see that until you said something, but I don’t think it’s that bad. Yes, the coaches can’t get along with each other. But I don’t think they’re openly taking shots at each other right in front of the parents. If they are, that’s pitiful though, that’s really pitiful. I sure hope they’re not, but yeah, I’ve heard the same thing from players over at Farragut getting fed up, and I feel as though what the coaching staff has been trying to keep under the prying eyes of the parents is now out on full display.
    • and there is definitely a reason for that—more than just Catholic recruiting.
