Sequoyah 7, Copper Basin 0

Polk Co. 7, Tellico Plains 0

Sweetwater 13, Lenoir City 0

Meigs and Walker Valley were tied 0-0. Walker Valley really has some impressive looking athletes.

The final quarter, I have no idea. McMinn Central and Loudon played, but I was dodging lightning. :P

A side not...Sweetwater has gotten better each week. While their defense is giving up way too many yards on the ground, the offense has found a groove. Latham had over 50 yards and a touchdown in that one quarter, steamrolling defenders.

Jam Ferguson added the other touchdown on a 10-yard run.

The quarterback Melton is really turning into a solid quarterback...getting comfortable with the system. That is freeing up Jeffery Moore to be more involved at the wingback position. He is a threat on reverses, counters...and catching the ball.

Sweetwater may have lost a load of talent from last year's team, but the main offensive threats are back. The O-line is coming together and finding some depth. This team has the potential to be just as good as last year's team. But potential is a really big word.
