BTNrC
Hate I missed the game. I can't wait to hear the report tomorrow. What were the key plays in the game? Offense? Defense? Passing Game? How did Ferguson and Lamon perform? Thanks,
WaCoJaCo
Man I wish I could give you a report but my mind is like a pinball machine right now. Ferguson had a awsome game, and Lamon played tougher than I have ever seen him. No td's for Lamon but he sure had some big catches and runs and layed the helmet to some defensive backs. WaCo's out
rolltriberoll
According to the OR play-by-play guys, Ferguson had about 270 yards passing. Williams had six receptions for like 70 receiving. DB threw to the TE several times.
rolltriberoll
Big plays... WaCo help me with this...there are more big plays than I can list. Flannery, Throp, Hayes, etc. all contributed. Many others as well. Here are a few that I can recall. DB scored before the half to cut it to 21-7. That was huge. DB punted over OR's return man in the third to reverse the field position. Ended up being like a 60+ yard punt. Hidden yardage... Long touchdown run after catch by Hayes for DB. OR drove deep into DB territory in the mid of the third. Hayes picked off the pass at the DB 12 to kill the drive. Huge. Holding penalty against OR with about 8 min left in fouth puts OR at about 2nd and 20 at their 10. DB holds and gets ball at OR 45.
Gridiron32
It was wild game!!!!!!!!!!! DB was blasted in the first quarter, played defense the entire quarter all but like 4 or 5 plays and they looked real tired, but OR couldn't put them away and DB got a late 1st half td. DB came out in the second half and began to play Indian football, lots of quick outs and crossing patterns. OR couldn't stop them. The key was the O line blocked great!!!! Lots of time to pass the ball and OR didn't get any pressure whatsoever. DB scored but gave up a long KO ret for a td and OR went up 28-14. But the Indians continued to hammer away and scored twice to tie it up and even stopped an OR drive on a nice int. DB took the ball with around 4 min on the clock and drove down the field to score the winning td. BUT WAIT!!!!!! after a terrible squibb kick that gave OR the ball on the short end of the field, They had a great opportunity to tie the game but wasted the final 35 seconds and let the clock run down to 7 seconds and their final pas was batted down. Great game that lived up to the hype!!!!! OR was better than I thought, but they stopped doing what worked for them, running the ball. DB at first didn't look that good but began to put pressure on the Wildcats and took them out of their game. Graham Clark coach great and made some great adjustments at the half. Lussier seemed to get away from running the ball and should have won after putting up a quick 21. DB played as if they believed they could win and OR played like they knew they were going to lose after DB began to click and they seemed to play with their heads hung low. Once again, GREAT GAME AND GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS THIS SEASON! They will probably meet again in the playoffs!!!!!!!!!!! ArtVandalay
THE ABSOLUTE GREATEST COMEBACK I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! GIDDY UP INDIANS GIDDY UP!!! ROLL TRIBE ROLL!! D-B beat a better Football Team tonight. And D-B did it because of COACHING. GRAHAM CLARK got his offensive genius mind to start clicking with 3:00 to go in the 1st half - down 21-0. But that was made possible by the Defensive Coaching of the Indians. D-B stopped the Wildcats 1 time in the 1st half, that's it, one time, but that was enough to get a little spark. D-B drove the field with really sa-weet play calling on their last possesion of the 1st half to stick it in the End Zone with 1:00 to go till half. Oak Ridge was happy to take a 21-7 lead to the locker room and they ran out the clock. I said right then,,,,,,, we get the ball to start the 2nd half.... IF...IF....IF we can score...it is a brand new ballgame. 2nd half started with an Oak Ridge D stop followed by the first of a ton of D-B devensive stops in the 2nd half. 7:00 remaining in the 3rd Qtr. D-B got back on track with a very nice drive and cut the lead to 21-14... Don't Kick it to Corey Booker, Don't kick it to #11 and we did, and guess what.... he took it to the house for a TD. 28-14 just like that Oak Ridge was back in command. But one thing.... the Oak Ridge D was just on the field for a long time and now, there back with no rest at all. D-B drives the field and play after play was made by Duran Ferguson (QB...1st yr) and Trittapoe(TE) and Walker Thrope(TB) and Lamon Williams (WR) and SCORE......28-21 and now it is crunch time and the CROWD OF 8,000-10,000 IS GOING FREEKIN' WILD ON THE D-B SIDE. OAK RIDGE IS STOPPED COLD. NOTHING DOING FOR THE WILDCATS. D-B takes it to the 4th qtr with 4 fingers raised high, cause ole' MO is on the Indians side now!!! Drive. Period. Drive the field with play after 3rd down play and SCORE....28-28 AND GIDDY UP!! WE STILL GOT 8:00 TO GO. Oak Ridge this time gets a drive going and man I am getting the Jimmy leg...... but on D-B's 25, for some reason Oak Ridge thinks they should go to the air, after they have been running the ball successfully for the 1st time since mid-way 2nd qtr. they call a pass play. Thank you very much, and the greatest Interception I have ever seen in HS Football was pulled off by #24 for the Indians on about the 15 yd line. It looked like this kid jumped 10 ft in the air and landed flat on his back and somehow he hung on to it. DB BALL AND WE CAN TAKE THE LEAD. DRIVE. 28-28, and Graham Clark picks Oak Ridge's D apart. Every critical play is a huge play for D-B. EVERYONE OF 'EM!! D-B milks the clock down to say 2:30 when Duran Ferguson takes it in on a QB sneak from the 1yd line and the crowd, well, THE D-B CROWD HAS NEVER BEEN SO WILD!! I CANNOT TALK AT THIS MOMENT! ONLY TYPE BECAUSE MY VOICE WAS LEFT IN THE STANDS, HOPING THOSE D-B PLAYERS COULD HEAR HOW PROUD I WAS OF THE GREATEST COMEBACK IN MY LIFE!! 35-28 DON'T KICK IT TO COREY BOOKER, DON'T KICK IT TO #11, and they didn't..... D-B squib kicks it and some speedster is playing up, I think it was the FB and he goes all the way to the DB 40 with 2:00 and change, 2 TO and WHO NELLY! The Oak Ridge fans are fired up now. #2 comes in at QB- he is fast, way fast and on 1st down he calls his own number around the right corner and gets to...??? the 20. A complete pass to Booker, but a huge tackle results in clock running and not much yds. After a couple of plays it comes down to 7 sec and the ball on the DB 15. QB roll out to the left, pressure, lots of pressure, and the pass fall to the ground in the end zone to end it. I AM TOTALLY DRAINED. SOAKING WET HAIR AND SHIRT. SLAPPING MY BEST FRIEND'S HAND (MY 10 YD OLD SON) AND PUMPED TO TO ROOF FOR THE GREATEST COMEBACK I HAVE EVER SEEN. Oak Ridge has better players and @ 21-0... I was thinking that the score would be more like 56-0 rather than what I just saw. Give D-B this... The BEST COACHING STAFF IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE. PERIOD. And next year, this team will not play another team that will have better players, 'cause DB is 1 yr away from being SPECTACTULAR! THIS WAS THE GIDDY UP GAME OF THE WEEK AND GOD I LOVED IT!! ROLL TRIBE ROLL!!

buc99
Underestimating the Dobyns-Bennet Indians would be a crime. Down year? No way dude. The most amazing comeback I have ever seen (besides Miami coming back to beat Florida...lol...). I take my hat off to the Indians. Playing to the last play, looking the devil in the eyes. Good nite and God Bless

bud
Oh, so I guess all other hundred or so people that tried the link that could not get it to work don't have brains either Jpats5. You are mad because Jefferson County is going to lose next week. DB will not make the mistake of getting down 21-0 on you guys. We might spot ya say 14, just to make it that much better when we beat you.
