2DADS
Plus Ba did not have there starting QB Griffin or RB Townsend. I think?

bulldog69
BA never...and I mean never needed any extra help on this one. My cousin in Il. went to this one and said it was never in doubt after BA warmed up. A-J started the bus.. and then remembered they were at home. WesVLT
Is 41-15 the for-sure final?
itzme
Yes, 41-15. AJ scored first on a long drive to go up 7-0, then BA shook off the cobwebs from the 4 hour bus ride and pretty much dominated the rest of the game. AJ scored a late touchdown against the second/third stringers. They were not too bad, really...well coached and played hard. Good QB too. BA was simply bigger and faster. Griffin did not play...he will be ready to go next week. Bowker played very well in his stead. Townsend played, but was somewhat slowed by his minor injury. Should be back at 100% for McCallie next week. BA only fumbled once tonight!! Fun experience to go to a small town atmosphere where the entire area turns out for Friday night football. It's the only thing going on on a fall Friday night, and the fans seem to have a great time. Edited September 13, 2003 by itzme
HeavyEagle275
Looks like Tennessee football is getting on the map by beating out of state opponents, and how good is anna jonesboro
itzme
Looks like Tennessee football is getting on the map by beating out of state opponents, and how good is anna jonesboro Based on what I have seen, I would put them on a level of an Oakland or Centennial. They were 2-0 before this game, and will probably have a good year in their division. They were 10-2 last year, and had 16 seniors back. 7059527176
BA really took care of A-J yesturday, they were unrattled by the early Anna-Jonesboro TD and scored 41 points that were unanwsered until AJ scored against BA's backups. Townsend didn't start but ran a lot and Holbert ran for over 100 yards including about a 60 yard TD. Barry Tuner intercepted a pass near the goalline and ran it in from about 5 yards out. AJ was very similar to McCallie because they could run the option and they could pass, it was a great tune-up for BA, but the real test will come next Friday in Chattanooga. We will know for sure after they both play McCallie but I mean currently. Thanks
sportswriter101
Anna-Jonesboro was ranked #1 in illinois so they must have a good team. They were ranked in the illinois newspaper as #1. BA dominated this game.
