Shultz and mckamey are not qualified for the job. They are not head coach material. Gaylor, Shattuck, or Ingle would be the best for the job.

I'm sure Rankin, Sparks, and Phulmer are head coach material too, but they did not apply. Gaylor is out of the mix, so what makes Shattuck and Ingle such good candidates. Neither have been head coaches in the past.

Did Shultz not coach with Gaylor and Catlett as a line coach? Did he not serve as a coordinator in Georgia, the mecca of high school football? Based on "insiderz" with the situation, he has a good relationship with his players and would make a good head coach if, and that's a big IF, he surrounded himself with the right people. Based on what I saw, Catlett's undoing was in surrounding himself with a bunch of idiots that couldn't have coached themselves out of a wet paper bag. I'm sure glad they all finally received their YFF forms.

Ingle has discipline and has been asst. coach when gaylor was here. Shultz is a good motivator but for the most part he doesnt seem to be a good head coach. He did coach with catlett i dont know about gaylor. You are exactly right, catlett did surround himself with rediculous coaches. First of all he hired mckamey to come back after he left to be offensive coordinator. From what i saw they did not see eye to eye at all. He should not even be a candidate for head coach.

That's a big 10-4 Newman. The best thing that happened to clinton football in the last three years was when that skinny WR coach got canned

Why would Bill Wilson want to coach again. I guess it is the one time a coach has a chance to make money. Retire from one place and go to another. That might effect his state retirement though. I don't think that would be good for him. Chait might be the one that applies.

Don't know why but Wilson's name is on the list, as is Jim Swafford and Lee Atkins(ELA ???)

Is Swafford actually getting an interview? I would think his reputation would precede him anywhere in this area. Although it would make for good reality television to see his tenure of about 2 weeks at Clinton if he was hired.

Coach Kelly from Knox Central has resigned and applied for the head coaching job at Clinton. He feels like he has been mistreated at Central. 

He ain't seen nothin' yet. If he gets the job @ Clinton, he'll think he was in paradise at Central. JEEEEZZZZZZ

Could be no one wanted to put themselves through all that at Clinton - so that leaves - whaddaya call em? Idiots? I don't know any of them - but based on everything I've seen on these threads this season - I'll betya they were more glad to get their "YFF" papers than you were! Nothin's worth all this crap

I think coach Mckamey at Clinton Middle school deserves a shot. He was a coordinator at Clinton High before taking the head coaching job at the middle school. He flat out knows the game and the players at clinton. He would be the perfect candidate. I hope he gets a fair shot at the job. Good luck Randy.
