One team that is often forgotten in Oak Ridge Fottball History is the 84' team. They didn't win the state but they were loaded. They got beat by Jeff Co. when star running back Eric Mennefee blew his knee out. As a fifth grade manager on that team I must tell you that Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw, Tony Dorsette, and Dan Marino were not my heroes.

Beat us not drilled, plus DB did not know at the time the exact way to run the offense. DB is known to hold back alot during scrimmages annd try things that they may never use. Hence, alot of goofed up plays, turnovers. It is our experimental time. Also, we barely beat Knox Halls because of this. I would say that most other teams DB scrimmages show more of what they will do during the regular season, and DB usually only tries people out at different positions, and other new plays that are not proven. In other word, DB never gives everything they got, or plays the way they do (play wise) in a reugular game. I think it was 28-14

Were you there for the Playoff game in 89'? At Oak Ridge.

Oak Ridge has had some great teams decade after decade. What team did the 1980 team beat in the title game?

I believe it was Germantown, but I could be wrong? Need DAACATVOICE for this one.

I was there, but I can't remember all the details. I have not miseed one OR v. DB game since, well at least 15 years.

OR down 14-7 at the half. Shawn Summers, sophomre at the time rushed for 200 in the second half to send Oak Ridge to victory 28-21. DB ran the option on us all night long, we still ain't stopped it. It was a battle!!!!
