It won't be easy for the Indians this year. The boys will be competing for a district championship again after a horrible season last year while the girls are competing as always. Should be a good season for both teams.

This year should shake out pretty well in Oneida. The Lady Indians have a killer schedule which will reflect on their overall record a bit, but as always it should have them primed for the post-season. Wartburg has gotten some kids into their program that will help that club, but Coach West got some "gems" from the area schools that will pan out for him. If they develop a point guard to replace Creech, then all the other pieces are there, including some depth for a change. Davis is a good coach and his teams are hard to play because they are so disciplined with what they do. Harriman has to replace valuable pieces, and the coach is suspect when working with questionable talent. However, they always manage to have some players, so we'll see. Coalfield and Oakdale are kind of the "secrets" this year, but if either club is good you'll find out about them early. Word gets around quickly in these parts. I believe Midway and Rockwood are still growing as a team and they might pick off a team or two. Certainly if the three seniors were kicked off the Midway club that is going to make things more difficult for them. So Kazam's picks:

Anyone heard how the Scott High Lady Highlanders will be this year? How did the scrimmage with Mccreary Co go last night. Havn't heard anything 'bout them or that district for that matter. Any thoughts or truths ?

I believe her name in Megan McWhorter. The other "big gun" Kilby is a freshman, right??? Those two girls have some serious game together my friends!!

McWhorter & Kilby are good players should help the team out. They played AAU for different teams this past summer here in Scott County.

Oops! Sorry, King. Well that kinda puts the other district in perspective for you, now don't it? I didn't really say much about Sunbright, but they have been in the hunt a little in the past few years and I've heard their Jr. High was doing pretty well in the last couple of seasons so that should help improve their talent. Oneida-Wartburg's first game of the year should be a dandy, so don't miss that one. The winner puts themselves in the drivers seat.

Who is the coach at Sunbright Jr. High? Is the Branstetter girl playing for the high school.

Boberick, Kilby is also just an 8th grader, while Branstetter is on the high school team. Sunbright could suprise a lot of people this year.

Did Wartburg Middle School beat Sunbright Jr. High? Sunbright did beat Huntsville.

Glad to see somebody else recognize Kilby's talents!! Now if only her coach would since he has wasted her the past three years!!!!!
