Who will it be? Any word. It's not gonna be Coach Gaddis, no doubt about that. Kerr's son possibly? Man would that be a recruiting war in county.

I keep hearing Shattuck is the man for Clinton. I'm not in the know, but....it will not be Gaddis---I wished or Josh Kerr--another good choice. I just keep hearing the name Shattuck everywhere I go. I mean this could be totally wrong and off base, but....

Have heard this as well. Don't know if this is the right place to go for anyone right now. Program is at a low level, but Clinton ain't gonna be patient fans and parents want a winner now.

According to the Clinton AD, a coach will be in place by the Christmas holiday.

If I'm not mistaken, the administration will be interviewing through November to allow those applicants who are still in the playoffs to focus on the task at hand. But HTV is right. They should have a new head coach by the 2nd semester.

I have heard several names being thrown around. Gaddis will not take the job, pay is not enough. Several coaches from area schools will be interested in the job. The rumor mill is turning up some interesting names such as Meadows from Jeff. Co., Woods from Mo. West, Shattuck & Gray from Oak Ridge, Stephens from A-E, and Hutchins at McMinn. All would really be good for Clinton.

First of all let me say this -Stephens at AE will not leave AE for the Clinton Job. He has worked to get where he is at today, why do it again. I would not be surprised to see him retire at AE.

Why would Meadows leave Jeff Co. to go to Clinton? I know his stay at certain places is never very long, but not Clinton.

Woods will not leave Morristown West. He has it made where he is at. He is retired from some where else. This is only money in the bank for him. He would never leave West for clinton.

As for Gray, Shattuck. They have applied everywhere.

The thing you have to take into consideration about Stanton is that he still lives in Anderson County and he's made it no secret that he might like to get back there one day.

 

I'd be surprised to see him come to Clinton right now, but you just never know.

I just couldn't see him leaving AE for the Clinton job. He has a very talented group coming back next year that will be favored to win the state probably.
