Lincoln County Falcons 12-1 in 2003

I haven't read any other posts yet, so if I repeat some thoughts already expressed then forgive me...I just got in from the game and I gotta get up at 3 AM and take my kid to Jackson TN, so here goes....

 

1. For the Falcon players and coaches - y'all have done a wonderful job this season. To go from a 4-7 season last year to a 12-1 season this year is an accomplishment that few teams can pull off. I had the privilege of watching you mature into a talented team, and I thank you for that privilege. Don't dwell on single events that occurred in this game - single events NEVER won or lost a football game - you guys played your hearts out and you're all champions in my book. Hold your heads up high - you are still and will always be Lincoln County Falcons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

2. For the Riverdale players and coaches - y'all came to our house and played like champions - you have the keys to the state championship in your hands. You have a VERY talented bunch of players, coaches, and the best fan base I saw at the Pit all season. Go east next Friday night and get your ticket punched for the state final in the 'Boro!!!! I'll be rooting for you!!!

 

3. For the folks on Coacht - I love you guys. I'm gonna miss jawing with region4fan, oakland2001, bigdogdaddy, duckbutterbandit, falconmama, fhsrebel27, and all the others that I can't think of at the moment. You guys added alot to the football season this year. I thank you.

My hat's off to the Riverdale Warriors! You came to play and play you did! You have my utmost respect. I'll be cheering for you to win the State Championship.
