The score against Tullahoma is kind of misleading. Tullahoma doesn't have a full squad, but won 4 of 5 matches against Franklin, including beating their ace in the 152 lb weight class. The Tullahoma Middle School wrestling team is currently 10-0 and just maybe one of these days, the high school team can have a full roster and not have to lose so many points on forfeits, as was the case against Franklin. It was a great early season match in the 152lb weight class between Tullahoma's Max Gessler and Franklin's Joel Konz. I would say these two young men will meet again later with more on the line, if they stay in the same weight class.

Rebels are Awesome! Curl and Leech will make a huge impact in the close matches down the stretch! Great job by the coaching staff getting them to come out! Waiting to see what happens when John Kirn challenges for 171 and Brady Davis and Renell McCullough challenge for 160. Whats the story on Bradley Felix? Will he be back this season?

Well I will speak up for Franklin. Franklin is one of the best teams in the middle tn area without a doubt. If Franklin can improve their 215 & 275 weights then I don't see anyone touching them until State Duals. They dismantled both Smyrna and Tullahoma the other night at Franklin. Jon and his rebels are as solid as I had seen a team in sometime. If they stay healthy that team should represent Region 5 very well this year at state duals. Hope for the best

I have heard nothing but great things about Franklin this year. I know that they will be a force to be reckoned with! ;)

JustWrestle, it's about time we hear a positive comment about Franklin athletics from you! I could have sworn our football team would have troubles with Brentwood this year... that's what you said at the begining of the year at least!

    • I hear the Stansberry kid is having receiver's come out all the time to help put in some work.    RWR!! I hope 20+ kids are showing up.
    • I think that pretty much sums it up, really. To be perfectly honest, I'm far less sour about Eagleville getting to host themselves in the state tournament every year than I am the fact that we find ourselves in a position that we have to play STATE TOURNAMENT games at a blamed Single A facility.
    • It's time to put away with the award. 18 players selected, and 17 of those players are from Middle and East Tennessee. I guess they don't play baseball in West Tennessee. I understand there will be players that were "snubbed." We can make a legit argument that it occurs in Mr. Football and as well as Mr./Mrs. Basketball. But baseball is not a place where we can sit here and say "these are the 3 best players in this class and that class."  And we got to get rid of these polls bullcrap that's being released. It's all nonsense.
    • Thanks. I'm just trying to understand how this process works.   It seems like a bit of a sweetheart deal to me but the cookie has to crumble somewhere I guess.
    • He won’t got anywhere he has it made in h20 he prob makes almost what a head coach in t c makes plus there’s not as much pressure there everyone is a use to the losing there. I say he will be there for many years just waiting for Webster to leave…
