ctownballa
Give me your opinion on who the team champ and individual champs of Division 2 this year.
The Name
There will be an excellent battle between baylor/ryan/mccallie. ryan is the only team that definatly has to wrestle both baylor and mccallie in the state duels. the three teams all have outstanding lineups this year, so i think that it would be easier to make predictions about individual winners, before team champs. so here goes mine. 103-Simpson MBA 112-Manson Baylor 119-Dunning Ryan 125-Hillar-Ryan 130-Oddo-Ryan 135-Leen-Baylor 140-Myers-Ryan 145-Manely-Mccallie 152-Stark-Ryan 160-(who is going 60?) 171-??? 189-??? 215-Lomas-Ryan Hwt-??? Sorry I really don't know what all the teams have going on in the upper weights, and I know I missed some of the big names in the middle weights. Should end up to be a great year of wrestling. From the looks of my predictions (which I know and encourage everyone to badger to death) Ryan will take home a state title again. Let me hear from everyone else on what you think. ctownballa
I wanna see some more opinions on this. It could be very interesting. What does matman think about this topic? No one seems to be able to fill in all of the gaps. Its a tough challenge.

mtnrasslin
Scott wrestled 152 last week and Smith was at 160 for McCallie. Has this changed? If Dunning stays at 119 I don't see him beating Geismer. Edited December 7, 2003 by mtnrasslin
buckingbronco2
The Marable brothers are going be hard to beat at 160 and 189.
BleacherButt
I don't think Ryan will fair as good as The Name thinks, but will still be tough. Ryan would have a better chance if Dunning went 112 and Hiller 119. Seams like the Baylor guys have settled in their weights. McCallie seams to be exploring where their strongest. I hear Cleveland be at 130, Scott at 160 and Smith, Blair and Manley still to be determined. Nick Marable might be in the mix in 152 or 160 except I don't think he can beat Scott or Manley. Here is the way I see it. 103 Johnson-Baylor 112 Manson-Baylor 119 Geismer-Baylor 125 Hiller-Ryan 130 Cleveland-McCallie 135 Leen-Baylor 140 thru 160 Smith, Blair, Manley, Scott (Not sure where these guys will be, but should be tops in DII) 171 Stark- Ryan 189 Marable-CB 215 Lomas-Ryan Hwt Seay-MCath
cb56
Bleacherbutt, no disrespect, but how can Nick Marable not be in the running for a state championship? He is after all a national champion, who did beat Ryan Scott last year before the state tourney. Sure Scott won when it mattered, but its kind of ignorant to say Marable doesn't have a chance. BleacherButt
I didn't say Nick doesn't have a chance. In fact, this is the hardest one to call. Nick is very talented and a good kid. I based this on the fact the Scott won the last match between the two and by several points. Give me your thoughts if Nick wrestled Manley at 152? brothersboy
manely will not be able to use his strenght against nick and nick is a great deal quicker then him so i believe nick would win but it would be very close.
