The Gallatin issue goes way beyond what I described, and that came directly from one of those who was involved in the process of events there.

Does the fact that the young man in question received a transfer to a school he was not zoned to go to, have any bearing when he moves to a different zone. My significant other, thinks it does. I would be t my last batch of hominy grits, this young'un has a problem with getting the TSSAA to grant him eligibility - unless they go the hardship route. Even then, how would one explain a transfer to one school, then moving into another school zone, all within the same school system.

No. The original transfer was a Knox County Schools issue, not a TSSAA issue. A player is eligible to play by TSSAA rules at any school, as long as he/she starts his/her freshman year at a school and it doesn't matter where they live. That was the case with that situation. The player in question began his high school at Central.

 

The TSSAA issue comes in to play only when changing schools after one has began his/her freshman years. This student has moved into the Powell school zone, which makes it a legit case for immediate eligibility.

 

Sorry, but you would lose that last batch of grits.

Bet - the only way that young man is eligible is to file hardship papers - and I want to see what the hardship is.

He began his career as a transfer student at Central.

Better read the TSSAA transfer rules again HTV. I bet your system AD knows, and I bet the school AD knows.

was named the Ast. Principal @ Karns

seems to suggest that he will not be the

replacement @ South-Doyle

I have heard the same thing from people in the South-Doyle community. I think it is true. Any news about Clinton, Heritage, WB, Gibbs?

Heard that Clinton's search committee has narrowed their search to the top 3 candidates for the principal to interview. I'm guessing that Shattuck and Shultz are on the short list with another coach from Florida. Heard from another source that McKamey was still in the running.

I hope they will interview Mark Chait. I knew him last year at Jeff. Co. and he is a really likeable and knowledgable coach who could lead this program back. Shattuck is a great coach at OR and will do well there if he is chosen.

Where is this announcement. I have looked in all the local papers and there has been no mention of this. I am extremely sorry to hear about the student who died after the incident in the school parking lot.
