KATLIN DUDLEY from Gibson County! She had a big game again tonight with 34 points! I've seen her play 5 times this year and she's been outstanding every game! She understands the game and will go D1.

No doubt Kaitlin is a great player and the best in the state as a sophomore If you get a chance come watch this girl play. She had a play tonight were she did a crossover on her knees got up, pump faked and hit the shot as she got foul. That was the best play in the gym besides the Shattered Backboard by Joe Shivers but thats a whole different story!!!

kaitlin dudley is by far the best sophmore in TN. i saw the play with the crossover on her knees and NO it wasnt a walk she was still dribbling the ball and stood back up

Cait McMahan is the best Sophomore in the state. She was named one of the nation's top four freshmen in 2002-03 by USA Today.

 

Brandi Brown is probably the second best sophomore in the state. At 6'2 she can play any position on the floor from point guard to center.

She isnt from one of the northern schools, but Jana Cross of the Loretto Lady Mustangs is the best Sophmore in the state of Tennessee! 20 to 25 points a game and can do it all! Pass, bring the ball up the floor, score when she gets ready, rebound, and is also a great defensive player, with a great head on her shoulders!!! She is my pick for the best sophmore in the state!!!

My vote is for Jana Cross, as well. Been watching/facing her since she was in 4th/5th grade adn she gets better every year. She is a great kid and a great talent - especially when you consider her size and she plays inside most of the time.

I say Jana too. The girl can flat out play. She shuts people down, but people just dont return what she gives them (which is usually a butt whoopin'). Nobody can stop her. Shes got alot of talent, and will go big!!

THE FINAL FOUR INCLUDED LORETTO, #1 RANKED 2A HATTON, #1 RANKED 3A LAUDERDALE COUNTY AND #1 RANKED 4A DESHLER. DESHLER IS THE DEFENDING 4A STATE CHAMPS, LAUDERDALE COUNTY IS THE TWO TIME DEFENDING 3A STATE CHAMPS. LORETTO DEFEATED HATTON 83-81, MONDAY NIGHT IN THE SEMI FINALS, AND DEFEATED LAUDERDALE COUNTY 81-52 IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME LAST NIGHT.
