Region 5 top competition

who do you think will make it to state at each weight class or come close to making it...Who will be the competition at each weightclass?

 

I think 103 is up for grabs

112 i think franklin and smyrna, by the way is rostum 112 or 119?

119 i go for franklin

125 franklin smyrna then either riverdale, lebanon, or fairview it is close call who you think it will be out of them?

130 dunno but i think franklin will do well and uhm riverdale's kid has potential

135 tullahoma, centennial looked good too and riverdale

140 i dunno too much

145 i dunno either

152 i dunno either...lol

160 riverdale's kid can do well if he makes weight

171 riverdale's kid can do well if he makes weight

189 riverdales kid can do well if he shows up and blackman

215/hvywght. riverdale has a new wrestler who is pretty good and i dunno anything bout other teams too much

I'm definitely gonna have to agree with headtap1 on that statement...except for 189. Gadie's very impressive and will make a good showing. He is still at 89, isn't he?

Hmmm. Doesn't seem like you know a whole lot. Surely Bond Davis will win at 145. Franklin also has a good 152, and Raby will contend at 189. I think you just said Riverdale every time you didn't know. Is this Centennial's region? If so, you have to put Drossopolous in there at 112.

Drossopolous at 112? Pair has beaten Drossopolous twice in the past two weeks and moe than likley again tommarow at our quad-meet. Not to mention that Ortiz is also in Region 5. That's two wrestlers better than Drossopolous in this region. Drossopolous will probly get 3rd.

Thanks for the breaking news. I didn't say that Drossopolous would win. The list is of wrestlers that will make it to state. I was saying that Drossopolous should be in there (the list of wrestlers that will place in region). Go back and read all the posts.

Meredith (Blackman) is going up to 215? I thought he was 189, is he avoiding someone? He is a great wrestler, but he would be picked apart by Pease (Clarksville) or Marable (CBHS) if he could make it to the 3rd period with either of them.

Does anyone know if Clarksville or CBHS will be at Brentwood? I'd really like to see Marable or Pease tangle with Meredith, just to see if he can handle that level of wrestling. The last time I watched Meredith, he was winded by the 3rd period.

At Ravenwood he seemed tired in the third, nursing a point lead. Then he was driven to his back out of bounce, (no takedown). He came back to the line with fire, and perfermed a nonstop attack and took Kimbrell (Cum. Co.) numberous times. However, I don't think Meredith is technical enough to tangle with Marable.

I didn't realize that Matt Sweeton not only hadn't graduated yet, but cut back down to 145. Come on Coach Peck, don't you think he's terrorized our region long enough? Not to mention Welsh and BJ Malone.

 

But seriously, you really should include Sullivan from Forrest at 171. Talk about a tough kid. And Shabbazz from Lebanon needs to be added to 189.
