My bad sportsradiotn about the use of "great coach". You maybe right about that , but he is a good coach. I just get really excited watching him coach and get totally into the game dancing around the sidelines and "conversing" with the refs during a game!!!

I think the dancing on the sidelines is just a show. He loves the attention. If he is such a good coach, why has he shuffled from school to school so many times?

COACH SMITH HAS NOT BEEN TOSSED FROM SEVERAL GAMES THIS SEASON. AND AS FOR THE "TICKING TIME BOMB" STUFF, I DON'T SEE IT. WHAT I HAVE SEEN IN WATCHING COACH SMITH FOR TWO YEARS NOW IS A SOLID, FUNDAMENTAL BASKETBALL COACH, WHO WORKS HARD, DEMANDS HIS PLAYERS TO WORK HARD, AND WINS. YES COACH SMITH IS ANIMATED OF THE SIDELINES, AND WHILE I THINK THIS HAS CAUSED HIM SOME PROBLEMS, IT IS JUST HIS COACHING STYLE. AS FOR ALL THE "RUMORS" FLOATING AROUND ABOUT COACH SMITH, MOST IF NOT ALL OF THESE CAN BE TRACED BACK TO TWO PEOPLE. YOU SEE THERE ARE TWO ANGRY PARENTS AT LAKE ROAD WHO HAVE MADE IT A LIFE'S AMBITION TO GET RID OF COACH SMITH. THERE HAVE BEEN ALL SORTS OF CRAP COMING FROM THESE TWO ALL YEAR, AND TO THE CREDIT OF COACH SMITH, AND HIS TEAMS, THEY HAVE GOT PAST THIS JUNK AND STILL BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL. COACH SMITH IS GOOD WITH THE PLAYERS, AND WHILE HE WILL TELL THEM IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS WHEN THEY MESS UP, HE ALSO WILL TELL THEM WHEN THEY HAVE DONE WELL. I FOR ONE HAVE HAD ONE KID PLAY FOR COACH SMITH, AND I HOPE MY OTHER GETS TO AS WELL. JUST REMEMBER YOU CAN'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR. IF YOU WERE AROUND THE GIRLS AND BOYS PROGRAMS AT LAKE ROAD YOU WOULD SEE THEY ARE RAN WELL, GIVING THE PLAYERS THE BEST CHANCE TO BE ALL THEY CAN BE. COACH SMITH SHOULD BE COMMENDED FOR HIS EFFORTS, NOT TALKED ABOUT AND PUT DOWN BASED ON RUMORS PUT OUT THERE TO CAUSE HIM PROBLEMS. BOTTOM LINE THE MAN CAN COACH, AND IS A GOOD TEACHER AS WELL. TALK TO HIS PLAYERS AND I THINK YOU WILL FIND THEY BOTH LIKE AND RESPECT HIM. SO AS FOR THE TICKING TIME BOMB STUFF, I PERSONALLY DO NOT SEE HIM "TICKING" ANYMORE THAT ABOUT 50% OF THE OTHER COACHES AROUND HERE.

I know one thing most of the time part of a rumor is usually a fact. He did mess up at Clarksburg and at Milan. That is a fact and for the most part leopards can't change their spots. I am not saying he is a bad coach, am saying he is a bad person. That is a fact!!!!

For the sake of all the girls he coaches, I hope he has changed. I am sure he has not fessed up to everything he has done. He is very sneaky, so watch out!

All of you just wait and see because after tonights games he will be in the category of GREAT coaches, No matter what some of the other coaches in this area think of him. Winners do what it takes losers go home and cry to momma

Sometimes when your team plays bad you need a GREAT coach to keep the team focused and help them pull through with a VICTORY!!!!! It was ugly, but a win is a win and we are still playing ball. Thanks to his discipline and the things he does to make his girls tough both physically and mentally. They got past there first game jitters and gonna dance through the rest of the tournament!!!!
