AP Class A Polls

AP voters please shed some light. Why did Mt Pleasant gain a spot to #2 after losing yet another district game. They were #3 last week with only one loss to current #1 team in 12A Wayne Co., then they get beat by PC (5th in district at the time) and they gain a spot?

Just to add to it, as far as I know, they have played all single A teams. Wayne County 14-6, has only one single A loss, the rest coming to double A teams. Is this considered in the voting?

Why is Chattanooga Christian not higher in the rankings? They haven't lost to a team from Tennessee, much less a single A team. Why aren't they higher than they are. Their losses came in X-mas tourny and to Murray County. The poll shouldn't be just about win-loss.

please cosby beat there arched rival hancock co. which is not a bad team by thirty one.that should stand for something.they play cak friday which hasn't lost a district just like cosby.cosby lost 7 sr's last year and are having a good year that says something about the coaching staff

I dropped Mt. Pleasant to #6 on my ballot this week & will take a look at Wayne County. As for Chat. Christian, I bet your SE Tn. media aren't doing their job of voting them higher. I had them #8 with the win over Temple Tuesday that helps bump them up in my eyes. Some of us in other areas do the best we can researching other regions but it's hard. Appreciate the input.

To reply to tfranks, I wondered the same thing about MP. I wondered how they gained a spot after getting beat by PC. But I am glad they did. And I think but not for sure, MP has played a couple of AA teams in Fairveiw and McEwen but I could be wrong. However MP beat both pretty easy. Go Tigers!

McEwen is single A and neither team is all that great, although McEwen is improving.

I'm sure its hard to research every region in TN. Wayne Co usually suffers from having no major press coverage. Hopefully they will continue to succeed and voters will take notice.

Jackson Christian deserves to be in the top 10. The record is 14-4 two of the losses are to AA schools and 1 is to a AAA school. They beat Adamsville by 18 at Adamsville and they are ranked number 8. JCS and Adamsville play each other again this Friday for a big district game.

I don't believe there is any reason for you to look at Wayne County now. Looks like MP won their game by about 40.
