pretty much it was lewis co on top by 3-7 pts the whole game and at the end # 23 i believe started to hit everything she shot and with no time left birdyshaw hit a 3 to win it for Loretto.

Didn't sound like luck had alot to do with it. Sounded like LHS made a good defensive play and hit a pressure shot. It's not like they hadn't hit from long range since they had about a dozen threes. Good teams find ways to win and tonight it was from long range. With Lewis Co. dropping down on Jana, my favorite gal Meredith hit 3 threes to open the game. (Excellent job Mere).LHS hit something like 55% of their threes and only 36% from two point land. By the way, Lewis Co. won't normally shoot as well as they did tonight either (I think they hit like 61% from the field), so maybe they were lucky to have the lead. Anyway, it was a great game and congrats to both teams.

Just to clear my boy golfinman23's mistake it was #10 Paige Hannah who made the 3 at the buzzer to win it. I can't wait for PageMan's report, which we better get. lol This was possibly the best girls game I've ever watched.

This talk of "luck" is ridiculous... grow up ppl... You got beat by a better team at their place and at your place... Be happy that the games were as close as they were... Because Loretto has beaten better teams by much larger margins...

I have posted my report under my usual topic layout with line score, individual scoring, three's, FT's, fouls, turnovers, and a brief summary. I have to agree somewhat with mas1821 on the luck issue. Sometimes a player is in the right place, at the right time, and delivers a pressure shot for the win. There have discussions about luck in sports on several coacht boards and now I believe you make your own luck my taking advantage of a given situation and delivering the winning shot. Tonight was Paige Hannah's time to shine in the final seconds. No one should take away anything from that moment that I'm sure she will remember forever. Congratulations Loretto on your win. Lewis Co., keep your heads up - you played a great game and have nothing to be ashamed of. Both teams gave it their all tonight and I was glad to have been there and witnessed a great game.

nah.... work 7am - 8pm on tue-thurs.... So i can't make it to tuesday night games... I'm usually at fri night games though.... Unless it's far off, then i'll go watch Tyler Smith play...
