That was how the brackets were explained to me. That the seeded teams were placers from the year before. It was the logical thing to do. How else could you set the tournament up and hope that the best teams did not meet before the finals. I can make arguement that this system does not work. The past two years the best matches were the semi's in DI if you look at the results. I was mistaken it was last year that 3 and 4 were switched.

CHSCOACH, I don't dispute your points on this topic and if that is the way it is done fine. However, because of conversations I've had with a couple of coaches who have been involved with the state duals for the last several years they were unaware of what you described as the process for drawing for the state duals. Again, CHSCOACH I can see your points on this but I find it strange that this information was not shared with all the coaches. Just as Coach Delgado mentioned in his post it has always been told that the draw was a blind draw and then you post something totally different. So if you don't mind please tell us who told you this was how things are done and when were your told this? I'll wait for your response. Thanks.

If in fact it is a blind draw, who does the "drawing"? Is there a committee of TSSAA officials or just one guy? Or is there a special committee for the state tournament? Does a computer do it? Or does RC just draw names out of a hat?
