I realize that there may not be a lot of people that really care about teams that are not having great seasons but... Who are the best teams with the worst records? Many teams have growing pains and get better as the season progresses. In my opionion the best of the worst records may be Loudon. Coach Mitchell has done an awesome job bringing those kids along this season. They have a good mixture of young players and at least one very valuable returner in Curtis. Kudos go to big E and the Redskins...

I would agree with Knox West - they've lost a lot of close games, but have some good wins, including a 10-point win over Bearden. Gibbs is around .500, but have some quality wins and have played a lot of other people close. Heritage has played for a good part of the year without two starting guards, who are now back. They pulled a big upset at West last night. Campbell County is better than last year and they seem to competitive in most games and have a good win over South-Doyle. I'm not sure of their record, but Morristown East looks dangerous, and that's a program that isn't used to consistent success. Decker does a great job there.

I think you all hit it right on the nose with Loudon and Knox West. Loudon has beaten Pigeon Forge, Sequoyah, and McMinn Central. All these teams are doing well in their districts and PF is somehow getting votes in the AP Polls.....West has beaten many teams in Knox that no one expected them too. Great job by Coach Petko and Coach Mitchell......

Gibbs is another team that is solid with a .500 record. They recently beat Fulton, and took AE to the wire. Anderson County beat them 38 on Monday, and they bounce back to take Alcoa to the wire the next night......

    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
