this should be fun.

Let's see, a screen name that was created last night at 10:52 comes with nothing more than the quote that I brought forward.

At least some thoughts to your post and back them up with examples or something to argue your postition. I would.

My opinion is not more valid, I am just more willing to argue the point with some history, data, examples etc. to try and make it.

Sorry your offended. Make better arguments.

Was that my new screen name or was it my third? B) I can't remember. B)

One other thing is that the number of schools in the state that have wrestling programs is growing. For every 50 or so football teams, there is a state champion in DI football. For every 50 teams in DI wrestling there is 1/3 of a state champion. When the split first occurred in 1997, there were only about one hundred or so wrestling teams in the state. Now there are quite a few more. There needs to be two or three classes for state duals. I would love to have something to hang in my gym this year besides district and regions plaques. I think the small schools can be good, but I don't know how good they can be. I know that we could compete with most schools in our area of the state who have less than 1000 students. I think it is easy for a school of our size to maximize the ability of the team, but we don't have the numbers or support to ever compete with bradley, clarksville, or soddy, although in the next few years we will do our best to try. I would hope that we could, in the future, have a chance at a state title against schools more like us.

Thank you Coach Ridge for speaking up. You guys don't have a weak program by any means.

I'd like to add that the Small division schools that win in the clinic bowl for football are probably pretty proud of their state championship trophy and probably don't worry about people saying that it is less of a state championship because they are in a smaller division.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
