fella32
Hey everybody it's a new baseball season today! What do you guys know about the big Chatt teams like: Ooltewah Red Bank Soddy-Daisy Central There aren't any good previews on TBCA from these teams, so any and all info about players and outlook would be appreciated. But this is a topic for all the Chattanooga teams so feel free to talk about the others.
Guesswho?
From what I know of all the teams I think Ooltewah will have the best team. They are young, but most of them have varsity experience. Central will also be good behind the leadership of Ryan Wilks. I dont think Soddy will have a good team this year... how is Red Bank stacked up this year?
rbfootball5baseball
Red Bank looks good this up coming season. With few senior ( Knowles, Crane, Giesel) their experience does help out plenty. Knowles will be our ace. While Crane will be in on the rotation, and Giesel can play about anywhere. Juniors to watch for that have had the varsity experience and have been in on playing situations are Cofer who will play short-stop, Fabry in Centerfield, and Carroll who will be in left field and will also be in the pitching rotation. (Notables that will also help out Miller, Park, Vick, Geren, Henry, Allen)
Guesswho?
What is the heavy set left-handed pitchers name?
rbfootball5baseball
Josh Carter who graduated last year...he is playing at Bryan college the only other lefty that is "heavy set" is Matt Jarvis and he isnt playing this year for personal reasons. Guesswho?
Thanks... he pitched a heck of a game against us in the region my soph. year, and I just wanted to know who he was
IbleedRED&GRAY
Ooltewah should be pretty good, but will be looking for some senior leadership. Holden Smith will probably be the starting pitcher although last year he pitched beter in relief, which may change depending on whether juniors like Ryan Jones, Brad Loy, and Justin Higdon and sophmores like Kyler Burke, John Howard, and Blake McDade. Early in the season, the Owls will have to rely on defense and the bats they had from last year. They have one addition to the lineup in Chris Mitchell, a middle infielder that just moved here from the Maryville area. He is a good ball player. I hope the Owls have a great season and good luck to my boys. Next year could be one of their best ever though. But u never know what will happen between now and then. GradfromtheNest
In this district there's usually one team that's stronger than everyone else, HOWEVER it ALWAYS happens that these teams play each other very well. One team either plays up to the competition or down to the competition. Let's wait and see how it plays out!

GradfromtheNest
First of all East Ridge is not even in 6-AAA. They're AA. I'm not too sure about them this year though...anyone have any ideas? Usually there's a few ER kids on here talking them up. Where are they this year?
