No turmoil tonight. Cyclones beat Tennessee High 50-48. Baughman had 22 points and 11 rebounds. Cyclone JV won 60-33, to finish 17-2. We are not dead yet!

Cyclones played well tonight but did have trouble finishing. The ten point lead with three minutes to go almost went up in smoke. Coming off last nights dismal performance though, it was a very very good win. For both varsity and JV. JV absolutely destroyed Tennessee High JV by 27, taking control from the outset. Varsity also pretty much controlled the game leading by seven at the half and by double digits deep into the fourth quarter.

Like i said in my last post i knew rikki baughman was overrated...a big game and she's a no show....what a team leader.....

The Lady Blue Devils put on a basketball fundamentals clinic Monday Night.

 

Rikki Baughman was predictably devastated just after the game, and might have used different words in manifesting her dissappointment.

 

But lambasting her in public, while she's never said anything offensive to you, is tasteless indeed.

 

She had 13 hard earned points. And her steal, and fade-away layup while being fouled was the play of the night.

 

She's one of the nicest young ladies I've had the honor to meet.

 

Gosh, congratulate the victors, they were awesome. But this?

last night's game did prove how valuable she (baughman) is to the cyclones. with her they built a nice lead. without her (fouled out) they almost lost a ten point lead with under 2 minutes in the game. according to the radio, had a very hard time getting the ball across half court when she left the game. sounds like they depend on her too much. others are going to half to step up if they are going to be successful in the tournament.
