TSCA gives the award every year for DivII, A/AA and AAA player of the year since TSSAA doesnt award anything. Last year Mitch was selected as A/AA player of the year.

ok for the cats on da prowl guy don't ever say sweetwater is gonna win it all there's a lot of better teams. i like redoubt fc as well. and knoxville teams always are good.

If sweetwater plays good and keep their tempers in cheek they can play with the best teams in the state. they also havw 2 of the best coaches in the state

I believe LC has a chance this year at goin to state like the past few years. LC seems to have a strong d and a good offense that is getting there..midfield is good...

From what I've heard about Lenoir City is that they are having trouble scoring goals. The midfield is the strength of their team with Mitch Thomas in the middle running the show. I don't know about their D though. LC usually has a strong defense.

Well CAK beat LC last night 2-1 so I would say CAK. And I saw Mitch Thomas last night if he is #10 which I think he is. He seemed to have good ball control, and great speed.

Lenoir City and CAK will meet again in April @ Lenoir City. Should be another good game with both teams improving as the year goes on.

Several folks from Kingston watched the game. What a great show. We cheered for all three goals no matter which team scored them. With so much club ball around we have friends on both teams. We definitely wanted a winner instead of a tie, but it could have been either team. They have very different styles of play and it is great fun to watch. I would not bet on CAK winning the rematch. LC is way too dangerous.

 

We still can't believe that CAK didn't get a red card on the takedown. It stopped a certain goal. Mitch is scary fast and the free kick gave LC a goal anyway on the rebound, but we should have seen some kind of card. The season is young but it seems to me we're seeing the refs let too much go. With such fierce rivalries, we had better see those whistles and cards get working. Keep it clean refs!

It doesn't look like there are any posts from West TN on here. Haywood County could make a trip back to state again this season. They have a few strong players back. They have a center midfielder who is one of the best in the state. He had 50 goals and 29 assists as a junior. With Ridgeway moved to AAA there are only 3 A/AA teams in Region 8. There are 21 A/AA teams in Region 7, but only a few that are competitive. Haywood, Martin Westview, and USJ are the 3 that will compete to come out of Region 7, and Sheffield and Kingsbury will come out of Region 8.
