nick controls manely the entire match any thoughts. were there any other upsets or greats matchs to talk about. any predictions one the D2 guys for next year.

One of the best matches of either division. Nick seemed ready to take on the two time champ and really did seem to dictate the entire match.

 

Out of several weights that Manley could have challenged for in the McCallie line up, he was slotted into the toughest road for a third title.

hats off to marable, his stength was even more than i had imagined- also congrats to spencer , it appeared to me spencer could have been at 40 ,if not -easily 45 - that's a tall order giving that much size against a national champion - good luck to spencer in senior nationals-jt

Yea, good job Jay. Most people didn't think you would go to the finals. Congratulations. As for Nick, his singles couldn't have been any more text-book. He knew what Manley would do, and he was ready for him. Good job to CBHS. Y'all could have challenged for third maybe if Saint and Velasco weren't injured.

The match between manley and nick was not controlled by anyone it was a good match. They are both 2 of the top wrestlers and both deserve the state championship.

congratulations to Marable. I think the better match would have been Scott but Connell placed his own wrestlers where thought the team would benefit the most.

I remember seeing all the debate over spencer going 152 a week or so before the state tournament. Does anyone know if that was his decision or if he challenged and lost (seems unlikely)? Does anyone believe this was the best decision for their team, or was this all about trying to get as many state titles for McCallie? Maybe it was a coaching call. Great match by both marable and spencer. they both have promising futures.
