Congratulations to the Walker Valley Lady Mustangs for winning the district Championship in a hard fought win over Rival McMinn Central!

Now you have to do it again next week. I am sure they will be prepared- reminds me of a quote i once heard..................................................................

The will to WIN is important, but the will to PREPARE is VITAL!

So with all this said- "BE PREPARED!"

Congratulations Coach Tucker in your win against Central. Although I don't like either school, I like Central even less. It was nice to see someone from our district take Central down a notch. Even more, the winning shot was over the coaches daughter. Why wasn't he cherring then? He's the best cheerleader they have!

Not mentioning names, but #22 for Central has a terrible attitude. Fouling out in the closing minutes is one thing, but throwing another player to the floor and taunting her by standing over & shooting off her mouth off is another. (classic Central) I've seen more cheap shots than baskets by her in the games I saw.

Again, good job Tucker. I think coaching was the winning factor in this win!!

The winning shot that was shot my Morris was not shot over the coach's daughter, it was shot over #34 Jennifer Patterson. LoveThisGame, it sounds like you are the one with the bad attitude, not Honna. She fouled out and got some cheap fouls called against her. Grow up, just say congratulations to Walker Valley, good job Central. It was a great game the whole time, and someone has to lose. If things go the way they should, they will be playin eachother again next Thursday in the region championship, which will be another game just like the one last night. Congrats Walker Valley on your first District Championship. See you in the regions!

As a big Lady Mustang fan I want to say congratulations to the Lady Mustangs and Coaches Tucker, Tucker and Moss! I see that # 8 ranking in the state is well deserved. Good job.

Also, as a big Lady Mustang fan, I want to say that I believe you could have beaten the Chargerettes by AT LEAST 15, if you had simply played your game and pushed the ball up the floor. Several times (I lost count after 7 times), Walker Valley "had numbers" (i.e. 3 on 2 or 2 on 1) on a fast break and pulled up until everyone could get into place. Hey Coach Tucker; LET 'EM PLAY! Just my opinion. Good luck in the region next week.

Nice first post, Lovethisgame.  Number 22's name is Honna Housley.  She has scored enough points to get a D1 scholarship to play at Davidson.  They don't give you one of those for cheap shots.

bigdonmonkey I knew her name and I also know she had that D1 scholarship before this attitude began. I have watched several games this year and I think that her attitude stunk in the games I have seen. I watched her play last year and thought she was a great sport. I just don't know what happened this year.
