Does anybody believe that District 12 sweeps district 11.

I see MP, WC, and STown winning first round. I'm not sure about Perry County. Not because I don't like them or anything, just depends on if they get out of their slump or not.

It could be a 12 sweep. But I think Forrest will win at least one game maybe two.

12-A will dominate Perry Co., Wayne Co., Mt.Pleasant, and Summertown are all better than the best of 11-A.

Forrest is supposed to be pretty good... but I'm shooting for a clean sweep by 12-A. they're supposed to be one of the strongest districts around. Good Luck Waynesboro, Summertown, Mt. Pleasant, and yeah, perry county too. Good luck you guys!!!

I think Forrest would have to play a really horrible game to get beat in their first round game. They have two or three guys that can step up and have a big game, and I just don't see all of them having an off night. If Jamar will step up and play like he did in the last 10 minutes or so of the dist. championship game, Forrest could walk away with the region crown no problem. Problem is, he doesn't start stepping up until his team absolutely needs him to sometimes. When he starts going inside and stops standing around at the threee-point line, he can tear somebody up--then that gets his outside game going. He is a rhythm player.

Cascade also has a shot at winning their first round game, though I would still consider them the underdog. If they are on, they can play with anybody. They have a great starting five, but their bench is nearly nonexistent. If they stay out of foul trouble and knock down some shots, you're in for a long night. On the other hand, they can look absolutely horrid at times.

The other two games will definitely go to the 12A teams unless they just completely fall apart and the 11A squads play their best games of the year. Eagleville is the most dangerous of the two, though.

The biggest boost for 12A was Moore County getting put out. They would have been a very tough matchup for any of the 12A teams because of their versatility. Moore County just picked a bad night to play their worst game of the year, but that's what happens during tourney time. Anybody can win on any given night. You've got to come ready to play.

Great job 12-A - 3 of 4 first round games taken by 12-A. Forrest was the sole winner from 11-A. Perry Co. cut it to 3 with 18 seconds to play, then a horrible out-of-bounds call gave Forrest the ball when it should have been Perry Co.'s. Of course, Perry Co. wouldn't have cut the lead if Forrest could have hit even half of their free throws in the 4th qtr.

 

Look for Summertown/Wayne Co. in the finals and advancing to the Sub-State.

I just noticed that MP and WC are both top ten teams...will this be a good game? Does anyone know if it will be on the radio anywhere and if so when?

1460AM in Mt Pleasant will carry it. If you live very far away you won't get it.

 

101.7 FM in Columbia will probably carry it. They did last nights game. The signal is pretty good if your within 40-50 miles you should be able to get it.

 

Waynesboro has a station that will carry it. Not sure of which one it is.

The Forrest game will be on WJJM, 94.3 FM, out of Lewisburg. You can pick it up from Columbia to Moore Co. with no problem. Go Rockets!!
