Rhea Co vs Brainerd

Brainerd gave this game away. Twice: once in regulation and then again in the first OT they had the lead and allowed Rhea to tie them up. The biggest mistake was allowing Cooper or anyone else shoot a three with less than 5 seconds on the clock... should have fouled him and made him shoot free throws. It would have forced Rhea to hit one free throw and miss the other, and get a rebound put back to win. I don't understand why coaches continue to miss this point late in a game. A foul gets only two points, the three ties it up. Very hotly contested game. Great emotion in the New Barn at Ooltewah.

Looks like Rhea Co coach had it all figured out when he let McMinn win last friday. He rolled the dice like Pete and looks like a Hero not a Zero like everyone said about him tanking the game. Great strategy B.K. that gives your team a shot at a substate game.

If Albert Horne makes the second free throw with 5.8 seconds left then Brainerd has a 4 point lead and Cooper's shot is pointless in regulation.

Tremendous emotion in this game. Especially what all the hullabaloo that was being tossed about since the McMinn County and the fact that Randon Floyd had transferred to Rhea County from Brainerd.

Go luck Golden Eagles the rest of the region!

Congrates to Rhea. It's good to see Brainerd not going on, they really did need a break. #33 of Rhea is a alsome shooter, he can shot from anywhere outside the key. Great shot at the end of the game to make the game go into over time by # 23 ( I think) But Brainerd you guys had a good season i guess you guys can try better next time.

Josh Jenkins #33 has been on a tear lately. Coach Crowder said he is 18 for his last 26 from three point land. He shoots them from the parking lot. He has been hurt all year with a broken finger. This game was awesome. Zach Hyatte dunked on somebody hard in the first half. Cooper hit the big shot at the end,but struggled the whole game. Floyd fouled out . It's sad that the season is over for Brainard because they were a very good team
