MktgAdMan
No question... Phil Clark, formerly of Germantown and now at Bartlett HS. Great motivator and teacher of the game.
BigSkinny19
Troy Martin is one of the best all-around coaches in TN. Now that he has some help from the other coaches, Gallatin baseball is getting better.

PioneerPirate
Randy Wallace of Rutledge High School is one of the best, he has his team contending for a title in the district every year no matter who he plays.

Guest Oakland
reavis, greene, powers. no doubt 3 very good coaches just in rutherford co, but none of them have been able to touch what mack hawks has done at oakland the last 5 years, 4 times in state quarters and 2 state championships. and the coaching job he did with last year's team was just beyond belief, i dont think anny other coach could have gotten oakland as far, joe george of marshall co may have the all the wins record right now, but at the rate that hawks is goin at, he may break that record before hes done at oakland, one of the most underrated coaches in the state, yes he regularly has good talent, but its a whole new ballgame to get them to play as a team
scoutcc
CannonCounty has a new coach, Eric Fruechtemeyer. Played at Iowa Central and Belmont University. Also, has coached at both. He has a lot of baseball knowledge and is really working those Cannon County boys. I believe he will be someone to keep an eye on!!
shrtstop2000
My vote goes to Mark Purvis of Mt. Juliet. They hadnt even won a district title and his 2nd year they go to regional championship and have been to regionals every year and state once. He has turned the program around. GREAT COACH!!! Vandytobe
It was stated earlier in this forum that Coach Greene won a state title at his previous school. Coach Greene at Blackman has never won a state title. He coached Blackman to a 3 way tie in district 7 last year due only to tallent that he had. It was not his coaching. He has had great pitching out of David Price and Michael House over the past 3 years. He lost 7 seniors from last years team that could have easily been playing in the state tournament, but didn't make it due to coaching. David and Michael will carry the load again this year. After these 2 pitchers leave, Coach Greene's coaching ability will finally show. There are 4 teams in Murfreesboro in AAA. Coach Greene is the 4th best coach in Murfreesboro only by default. He has excellent assistants, but they don't make the calls. If Coach Brewer were the head coach, this team could go a long way. I hope for the boys that will still be here next year that Coach Greene will leave. I don't see any college team trying to lure him unless they are looking for a JV coach at a juco.
