defense is the easiest to build. Earls knows a lot about defense but not offense so they should be alright. They have the players to score points I think which could be wrong but they will have to out score the other team till the defense gets settled in. goalie is another issue. have not seen them yet but have talk to ones that have and they look solid I have been told. Looks to be a good season the teams in this districit look to be fairly even. The fans are going to be in for a treat this year. LETS PLAY BALL

Chip!

You are saying that the teams in McMinn's district are good enough that anybody could win the district? Rhea County and Bradley are up there with Cumberland and Clevleand and McMinn? That would be quite the season instead of knowing that McMinn and Cleveland are going to dominate.

last year bradley improved 100% from the start of the season to the end. if they can build on that they had bradley should be able to play a very competitive game.rhea county may be another question. I have not ideal what they have. I hear mcminn plays two good teams this week and we can see if they have a chance in post season.I see this as their post season crystal ball. the full state knows about jared now so lets see who else steps their game to it's highest level. will there be good chemistry on this team???i hope so. McMinn McMinn McMinn. They may be a decent team, yes, but they are not among the state's elite. Maybe if they beat Bearden on Fri they can have some bragging rights, but if I hadnt seen them play, I would think they were Brazil or someone incredible with all they are hyped up to be.

    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
