hey cdm 2003....you said, in response to my post....

That was an very informative but meaningless post by mg. Anyone who has played ball or even a fan of ball would know that you cant compare a game by who beat who. It was amusing but I hope that you really don't believe in that. I am not going to say the Glencliff is going to win, but Jamont is the kind of player that can score 10pts and lead his team to a victory. You guys are going to learn/see.

How could you possibly assume that region 7 & 8 are better than the rest unless you've seen the rest. Jackson NS, & Fairley top 3, big time bluff.

well, looks like you don't know as much about high school basketball as you think.....cause i have seen the rest...region 7 and 8AAA are the two tuffest in the state, from top to bottom.....

glenncliff was the bluff, they would be a third place team in our district, and not even make the region semi-finals..........would not even make region 8 tourney.........

so, you think region 7 and 8 are a big time bluff now?

I watched that game until 42-12 to see what all the fuss of Jamont Gordon was. Well, his hand definetly was still bothering him, as he even took the tape off his hand and was grabbing it alot, but WOW

Jackson Northside is the real deal. They seriously were the greatest three pointer machine I have ever seen. And even if they missed, theyd either rebound and immediately dunk or make it an alley oop play.

It was......incredible. And BC vs JN.......whoa.

Glencliff played heartless tonight. Jackson Northside was extremely well balanced. The better team won but I still don't buy into that top 3 statement. Maybe a win against Bradley Central would confirm the brave statement by mg.

to mg/ m-gizzle:

I underestimated "Nawfsyde", but I still believe that Jamont is better than everyone on their team.

Check this out:

-Jamont is the only player that Northside had to worry about, therefore they played pretty good defense on him.

-Glenciff's was out-matched by Northside's talent therefore they couldn't key in on one person like Northside did. Glencliff's coach did a terrible job preparing them (they must of played 21 in practice all week).

Glencliff didn't hold it down for Region 6, but there are at least 3 teams that would of played better than those guys tonight. McGavock, Stratford, and Hillsboro would of been more mentally prepared tonight.

I didn't think I would be able to enjoy this game since my team got beat out only 20 minutes before, but this game was freakin awesome. I don't know if this was normal for JNS to play like that, but I was thoroughly impressed. I didn't realize how much size and speed the Delk twins had. And that dunk off the back ironed three?!?!? All my friends that we were there looked at each other and our jaws just hit the floor. You couldn't blink or you'd miss a good play. I looked at the scoreboard for 3 tenths of a second and the student section was up ooohing and aaahing. I now have a new favorite in the tourney...JNS. I think they have more than a good shot to beat BC. I just wish I could be there for it, but we've already driven back to Clinton. Good luck Indians, beat the Bears!!

Glencliff didn't show up. Chris Johnson did nothing offensively or defensively. JNS took Glencliff to the woodshed.

Glencliff did not help Jamont at all. Jamont gave it all he had. He got defensive rebounds and was the first person down the court most of the time for Glencliff beating his teammates down the court. His teammates didn't give the same effort he did(with the exception of Jeffrey Hill). They missed layups on passes he gave them. He has to be extremely frustrated with that.

Give credit where credit is due. JNS's big three could've beat Glencliff by itself. Ramon Williams and the Delks were too much. No answer allnight for them.

Except for when he just stood under the goal by himself when everybody else got back down the floor. I'm sure you missed that though.

LOL,

Yeah he was tired from the previous 5 trips by himself. He did snowbird a few times  . Him and his teammates were never on the same page all night.

But the bigger picture is, is that JNS is the Real Deal. They came with it. It didn't matter if Jamont was on or not. JNS would've won anyway. Their team was TOO STRONG.

The Delks will give Hare and pickel problems shooting. as well as williams.

JNS vs. WS in the championship.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
